GMC SIERRA SAFETY FEATURES
Automatic Parking Assist
With this feature, you can get automatic assistance when parallel or perpendicularly park your Sierra 1500. When you get close to a parking spot, you can engage the feature, and the truck will use sensors on the front, rear, and sides to guide you automatically into a parking spot at low speeds.
Front And Rear Park Assist
This available feature can alert you when there are objects near you so that you can help avoid collisions while parking or backing up.
Rear Park Assist
When backing into a parking spot, the camera system will provide you with onscreen guidelines to help you line up the truck quickly.
Rear Cross-Traffic Alert
When you put your Sierra 1500 in reverse, this available feature will detect vehicles coming from the left and right and warn you when they're close while backing out of a spot.
Lane Keep Assist With Lane Departure Warning
With these features, you will get slight steering corrections when you start to drift out of your lane. You can also get additional warnings when switching lanes without using the turn signals for added peace of mind.
Following Distance Indicator
This feature will let you know the gap between you and the vehicles in front of you in seconds. This available feature allows you to see if you're following too closely.
Adaptive Cruise Control
This feature uses cameras and sensors to detect the vehicles in front of you. You can set a gap time, and the Sierra 1500 will automatically adjust the speed accordingly.
Lane Change Alert With Side Blind Zone Alert
This feature alerts side mirrors when it detects vehicles entering your side blind zones for improved awareness.
Hitch Guidance
This feature comes as part of the Bed View feature and provides you with onscreen hitch guidance lines that can help with backing up and attaching to the trailer.
Hitch Guidance With Hitch View
With this feature, you can take advantage of different camera angles to visualize the Sierra 1500 and the trailer hitch relationship. This can help make sure that the trailer is aligned correctly to make hitching and towing easier.
